REV TO THE LIMIT
Tiff Needell reviews the Porsche 911 4S Targa, and finds out how well it matches up against previous 911 models. The 991-generation Porsche 911 Targa makes a return to the model’s roots, with a semi-convertible style roof, with a silver roll hoop and glass rear deck. Like the last Targa model, the 991 is only available with four-wheel drive – meaning that more muscular and wider body shell.

Drop what you're doing and watch this video. Every petrol head we know is already jealous of Chris Harris and now it is official, he has the best job in the world. Watch today's video of the Porsche 918 Spyder. The Porsche 918 is the fastest road car to ever go around the Nurburgring and Porsche's vision of the future of the motorcar. It is an epic car. As always, Chris Harris has gotten his hands all over it, and to say that it impressed him is an understatement. He loves it. In true Chris Harris fashion he has tried his hardest to get the Porsche 918 Spyder sideways! The 918 Spyder has 4.6-litre V8 engine producing 608 bhp independently – the highest specific power of any naturally aspirated Porsche engine. In addition to the V8 are two electric motors mounted on each axle, basically taking the Porsche up to 880hp. The electric motors can either drive the wheels independently or work together with the engine to boost performance. A seven-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) controls power delivery to the rear wheels. If you like the 918 Spyder, check out our write up and our video and photo gallery. This one is close to my heart. I grew up in an era of Nissan GT-R mania. First the R32 and then the R33 editions were all released as I was growing up. Then came the R34 (which I didn't care for). Finally after a hiatus, Nissan introduced the new generation Nissan GT-R in 2007 and they haven't looked back.
The GT-R is a full-fledged and wildly capable supercar rocket. And don't let anyone tell you otherwise. The Nissan GT-R puts to shame cars two or three times its price. To quote Mizuno (the cars creator) “In a single phrase: anyone, anywhere, anytime,”. Check out the write up here By the 1980s, the once prestigious and honored Ferrari name had fallen into disarray. Their cars were no longer the fastest, nor the best looking, and their performance in Formula 1 racing was terrible. Enzo Ferrari was turning 90 and the company he founded was almost 40, so he decided to build the ultimate car. He succeeded.
The Ferrari F40 was the last car commissioned and personally overseen by Enzo Ferrari himself and is by most pundits today considered the best supercar of all time. The F40 is one of the purest driving machines ever built, and from 1987-1989 held the title as the fastest street legal production car in the world, and became the first car to break the 200 mph barrier. It was the only car capable of besting the venerable Porsche 959 during its lifetime. It was basically a race car for the road, made largely out of carbon and kevlar, with no driver aids for steering or brakes and an interior that was about as sparten as you get get. Truly an awesome car. Check out the full section on the Ferrari F40 here Out of all the top sports cars I will write about in these pages, the Pagani Zonda is probably going to be the least known by readers. The Pagani Zonda is another delicious slice of car lust to come out of Italy and one of the most highly sought after supercars in the world and is the brainchild of Horatio Pagani. There were several variants of the Zonda build since the initial model was launched in 1999. The most recent version is the Zonda R, which tops out at 750 horsepower and hits 60mph in 2.7 seconds, with a maximum speed of 233mph.
